Eyelid Lifts at South Coast Plastic Surgery

Do you have sagging, fatty eyelids that make you constantly tired and fatigued? Tired of having to put endless eyeshadow on your upper eyelids? Tired of people asking you if you’re tired or getting enough sleep? Then you might be a good candidate for an Eyelid Lift at South Coast Plastic Surgery in Ladera, CA!

What is an Eyelid Lift?

An eyelid lift is a surgical procedure that’s designed to correct signs of aging around the eyes, including drooping eye skin, fatty pads, and excess wrinkling and fine lines. Also known as a blepharoplasty, this procedure is an excellent choice for patients who feel as though their eyelids make them look tired and fatigued, even if they’re getting their eight hours of sleep. An eyelid lift is a relatively quick surgery that can have amazing – some even say life-changing – results. Many people will say they got their mom or dads eyelids and want to look young and refreshed.

How Does It Work?

The eyelid lift can be performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the patient’s comfort levels. Small incisions are typically placed in the lash line and the folds of the eyelids, which help hides post-surgical scarring. Excess skin will be trimmed away before the incisions are closed up. Puffy lower eyelid bags may be from bags of fat that can be removed or repositioned to lead to a more youthful look.

Am I a Good Candidate For an Eyelid Lift?

You’re a good candidate for an eyelid lift if you have sagging eyelid skin and excess wrinkles around your eyelids. Candidates often talk about how their eyelids make them constantly look tired and older than they actually are. All candidates need to be healthy nonsmoking individuals who have realistic expectations for this procedure.

The procedure can be combined with other energy-based treatments like Halo and BBL to improve the overall quality and texture of the skin. The doctors and aestheticians at South Coast Plastic Surgery will also recommend a customized skin care regimen and eye cream to maintain your results.

You will need a vision exam prior to your eyelid lift surgery, including if you have had LASIK surgery or any other eye surgery in the past.
