Rhinoplasty for Men at South Coast Plastic Surgery

Do you feel as though your nose is too big or misshapen, but don’t want to get an “obvious-looking” nose job? Then it’s time to introduce yourself to rhinoplasty for men at South Coast Plastic Surgery in Ladera, CA!

What is a Rhinoplasty for Men?

Rhinoplasty for men is a surgical procedure designed to correct cosmetic or medical nasal issues, without making it look obvious that cosmetic work has been performed. Whether a male patient needs to correct a deviated septum in order to breathe easier or wants to reduce the appearance of a hooked nose, a rhinoplasty for men can address any medical or cosmetic issues in a way that caters and complements the masculine face.

How Does It Work?

Rhinoplasty for men is performed in a similar manner as a traditional rhinoplasty procedure. The surgery begins with an understanding of what issues the patient wants to correct; the rhinoplasty procedure is customized around these goals, so no two surgeries are ever alike. The surgery – which is performed under general anesthesia and typically takes about two hours – may involve creating more space within the nasal passages, removing bulbous features, or shaving down the nasal tip to create a more symmetrical facial appearance.

Am I a Good Candidate for a Rhinoplasty for Men?

You’re a good candidate for this procedure if you have medical or cosmetic issues with your nose, like a deviated septum, bulbous or hooked nose, a too-large or too-small nose, etc. All candidates for this procedure need to be healthy nonsmoking men who have realistic expectations for their results.

Consultations Are Available Now

Take the first step. Get your questions answered and find out which treatment option is best for you by meeting with one of our knowledgeable medical staff at South Coast Plastic Surgery for an in-person consultation.

What Results Will I See?*

It may take a few weeks to see results, especially in the beginning stages when you’ll be wearing a splint directly after your surgery. However, you should see initial results around the three-week mark, when some of the swelling and bruising has subsided. Results will depend on the issues you addressed with your rhinoplasty, but typically your nose will appear more proportioned to your face.

What is the Recovery Like?*

The brunt of recovery is typically performed during the first two weeks, when you’ll be wearing a splint to hold your new nose shape in place. For that reason, you may want to take one to two weeks off from work. Most swelling and bruising is gone by the third week, with patients able to resume their normal gym routines at around the four- to- six-week mark.
