What is the Sciton Halo Laser?

The Sciton Halo Laser is an innovative non-surgical treatment that combines both ablative and non-ablative lasers to help encourage a patient’s most beautiful skin ever. It is the only hybrid laser of its kind! The Halo Laser can help patients combat years of aging and sun damage, giving them the kind of complexion that will make them ready for their close-ups. What’s more, the Halo Laser does it all without downtime or recovery, making it truly a world-class treatment in its own category.

How Does the Sciton Halo Laser Work?

The Sciton Halo Laser works by combining both ablative and non-ablative lasers in one quick treatment. The lasers work to create microscopic channels in the dermis while exfoliating the top dermal layer. The end result is a smoother and more even complexion in the short-term, while collagen and elastin levels are boosted for long-term gain. Some research has also found it activates anti-aging genes in skin cells, reversing aging and leading to youthful skin.

Am I a Good Candidate For the Sciton Halo Laser?

You’re a good candidate for the Sciton Halo Laser if you have signs of aging and sun damage, like hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. The Sciton Halo Laser can target and treat most skin tones and textures, making it a very versatile procedure. The best part? Halo can be used on all skin types, regardless of the color of your skin. It is a great option for skin of color when performed by highly trained professionals like those at South Coast Plastic Surgery – Ladera Ranch.

Many satisfied Halo patients, including the doctors at South Coast Plastic Surgery, will rave about the “Halo glow” that your friends and family will notice when they see your glowing skin.

Consultations Are Available Now

Take the first step. Get your questions answered and find out which treatment option is best for you by meeting with one of our knowledgeable medical staff at South Coast Plastic Surgery for an in-person consultation.

How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?

A typical treatment takes about 40 minutes to perform. Most patients feel a mild warming sensation after their Halo Laser procedure. Medication can be given to help you relax before and after the treatment if you’d like.

What Results Will I See?*

Results include a smoother and more even skin tone, along with reduced signs of hyperpigmentation, sun damage, and aging. Younger patients and those with less skin damage may only need one treatment and then another every two to three years to maintain their skin. Other patients with more skin damage may need two treatments 4 weeks apart to undo years of skin damage. The glowing skin can then be maintained yearly.

Is There Any Downtime?

There’s no significant downtime associated with the Halo Laser treatment, although you may notice that your skin appears red and feels warmer to the touch. Even the doctors at South Coast Plastic Surgery were back at work the next day after their treatments! Using the Alastin Nectar and cleansing the skin with a Hydrafacial after the Halo treatment are great ways to improve the healing process. It’s important to wear sunscreen after your Halo Laser treatment, as your skin will be sensitive to the sun’s UV rays.
